Discussion about life is random. We all have our unique perspective based upon our personal history, geography, sociology, philosophy, religion – we actually are quite complex. The more years we have to develop this perspective, the more complex it can be. We nuance and hedge and take side trips and sometimes never reach the destination we were headed for. Like Internet surfing, one site takes you to another and another...
Perhaps if we add a heart dimension we can feel our way to our destination. We feel good about staying here or there – either geographical or personal. The heart dimension can also be a door to the transpersonal and transformative realms of consciousness where thoughts have no place.
Then there are images and archetypes from our subconscious. They can be a blend of mind and heart – they can stimulate or sedate. They can be dreams of no importance – after all what is this dream that we sometimes attach value? There are day dreams and night dreams – they all are ephemeral.
Imagination may be the key to consciousness. It is easily tapped and manipulated. It can be private or public. It can cause creativity or eccentricity. It is a necessary ingredient in our life and aging. It is greater than our dreams because it continues and travels where dreams cannot go. It can change any circumstance, any perception, any reality... it has its own life.
How big should our vision be? Our life is one breath at a time – one day, one week, one year at a time. We are movements in time. Should a vision be carried from moment to moment? Does it belong to the future or past? Is the vision sometimes a dream or just imagination? Visions always move us forward.
